The Iron Contract
Hardcore on Undermine. One life, and the Mithril Cartel pays you to keep it: bounties at 20, 40 and 60, a season race for the first ten wallets to 60, and protection from everyone outside the contract.
One life. The Mithril Cartel pays you to keep it. Sign the Iron Contract at level 1 with any Mithril Exchange goblin or Trade Prince Mithrix, and every level you survive is worth Mithril.
You're protected
- Nobody outside the contract can attack you. Not in contested zones, not with a PvP flag, not ever. Contract holders fight each other only when both of you turned PvP on with
/pvp. Duels are always fine. - The Cartel's bodyguard. Switched browser tabs mid-fight, or lost your connection? When your game goes quiet in combat, the bodyguard pulls you out: out of combat, untouchable, held in place until you're back. Once every 45 minutes.
- Dying ends the contract, nothing else. Your character, its gear and every Mithril you earned stay yours, and you keep playing as a regular character. Only the bounties stop.
The bounties
Once per wallet, every season:
| Reach, alive | The Cartel pays |
|---|---|
| Level 20 | 50,000 MITH |
| Level 40 | 250,000 MITH |
| Level 60 | 1,000,000 MITH and the [Iron Contract Tabard] |
The season race
The first ten wallets to reach 60 without dying: #1 takes 10,000,000 MITH, #2 to #10 take 1,000,000 MITH each. The whole realm hears about it, and the Cartel sets off fireworks over every Mithril Exchange.
The terms
While the contract holds:
- no level boosts and no battlegrounds;
- you group, trade and mail with other contract holders only; the auction house is open to everyone;
- one death, from anything at all, and the realm hears that the Cartel voids your contract.
How to sign
Make a new character. At level 1, before your first death, talk to a Mithril Exchange goblin or Trade Prince Mithrix in your starting area, choose Sign the Iron Contract, read the terms and sign. One contract per character.
Bounties land in your character's purse as Mithril and go to your wallet like any Mithril; a very large prize can take more than a day to reach it in full.
