Glossary
Every term on this site in one place, from allowance to Token-2022.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 1.12.1 | The last patch of original ("vanilla") World of Warcraft before The Burning Crusade, build 5875. |
| Admin | The key that can change the economy program's configuration within its hard bounds. A multisig with a time lock. |
| Allowance | The most the Vault pays one wallet per UTC day: 2,000,000 MITH. Anything above it waits as pending Mithril. |
| benilla | The browser game client: the 1.12 client rebuilt in Rust, compiled to WebAssembly and drawn with WebGPU. |
| Bridge | The service that settles every in-game money change onchain and sends corrections back to the game. |
| Budget | The most the whole realm can be paid from the Vault per 24 hours: 2% of what's in it, never more than 10%. |
| Cartel burn | What players pay the Mithril Cartel is destroyed for good while the Vault holds more than 75% of its start, less and less down to 50%, then not at all. |
| Circuit breaker | Pauses payouts when an hour's requested payouts exceed five times the hourly average. Only the admin clears it. |
| Clamp | When the program pays less than requested because of a limit. The rest becomes pending Mithril. |
| Deposit | Moving MITH from your wallet into your game vault. One Phantom approval, no fee. |
| Escrow | A vault with no private key that holds money while it's in the mail or bid on the auction house. |
| Fee payer | The server's wallet that pays network fees and account rent so players never need SOL. |
| Game vault | Your in-game MITH: a token account derived from your wallet and owned by the economy program. |
| Genesis | The one and only mint: 20,000,000,000 MITH at launch, 80% into the Vault and 20% into the trading pool. |
| Goblin Market | The auction house on the web. |
| Mainnet | Solana's real network. MITH moves there at launch; the contract address is published on this site. |
| MITH | Mithril ($MITH), the server's money as a Solana token. 1 MITH = 1 copper of vanilla's money. |
| Mithril Exchange | Goblin NPCs beside the bankers where you withdraw MITH to your wallet. |
| Mint | The token's address on Solana (its "contract address"). Also: creating new tokens. |
| Multisig | An account that needs several people's signatures to act. MITH's upgrade and admin keys are one, with a time lock. |
| Order processor | The world-server part that carries out web auction orders: moving items, mailing them, crediting sellers. |
| Payout | Money from the Vault to a game vault: loot, quest rewards, vendor sales. |
| Pending Mithril | Earnings above your daily allowance, held in game and paid out as the limit frees up. Never deleted. |
| Phantom | The Solana wallet you sign in with. |
| Pro-rata | When demand exceeds the budget, every payout in the next window is scaled by the same factor. |
| Program address | An address derived from a program's ID with no private key behind it; only that program can sign for it. The Vault and every game vault are owned by one. |
| Reconciliation | The check that each account's money in game equals its vault onchain. |
| Sink | Money from a game vault back to the Vault: repairs, training, flights, vendor purchases, auction cuts. Cartel purchases are burned instead while the Vault is well stocked. |
| SIWS | Sign In With Solana: signing a standard text message to prove you own a wallet. Not a transaction. |
| Time lock | A wait between proposing a change on chain and running it, so anyone can see it coming. |
| Token-2022 | Solana's newer token program. MITH uses its transfer-fee and metadata extensions. |
| Trade Prince Mithrix | The Mithril Cartel's goblin in every starting area: sells level boosts (to 20, 30 or 40), flight-path unlocks per continent and the Cartel's rare goods, all for Mithril. |
| Trading pool | Where MITH trades against SOL. 20% of the supply starts in it; the pool position is locked for good. |
| Vault of Undermine | The program-owned account that holds 80% of the supply, pays everything the game pays and receives every sink. No private key exists for it. See Tokenomics. |
| Verified build | Proof that the program running on chain was compiled from the published source code. |
| vmangos | The open-source server core that runs the 1.12 world. |
| WebGPU | The modern graphics interface for web pages that draws the game. Needs Chrome or Edge 137+ or Firefox 141+, with hardware acceleration. |
| Withdraw | Moving MITH from your game vault to your own wallet: any amount, one every 15 minutes, free. |
